Today, traders are still in Les Chartrons (after a short break during the 20th century). They were joined, in the alleys, by antique dealers. Notre Dame Street, which extends its roadway over 700 metres, has about forty of them. An emblematic street in the district, it has seen the art galleries and decoration shops flourish over time. These small businesses that stamp it as a bobo district do not contradict its history. A history of the district, always dear to the hearts of its inhabitants. Many of them consider themselves to be Chartronnais long before they became Bordeaux residents!
