All the different facets of Paris can be found in the 14th arrondissement. There’s the face of Baron Haussmann, who made Montparnasse one of his favourite playgrounds during the major urban redevelopment of the 19th century, and that of the old Parisian suburbs, in the working-class neighbourhoods of Plaisance and Alésia. Not to mention Montsouris Park, one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris, home to some lovely statuettes, or the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art.
