To the west of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the 7th arrondissement is one of the most upmarket districts in Paris.
It is also known as the museum district, as it is home to the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée du quai Branly, the Musée Rodin and the Musée Maillol.
In addition, you’ll find private mansions, historic monuments, luxury shops, the École Militaire, the Hôtel Matignon, the National Assembly, the Place du Palais-Bourbon, and… the EIFFEL TOWER.
Undoubtedly, it is thanks to (or because of) these magnificent landmarks that it is the wealthiest district in the city.
Around Rue du Bac, the charming Sèvres-Babylone district is full of upmarket shops and high-fashion boutiques.

I recommend the following places:

- Le Petit Lutetia: an elegant brasserie with a vintage atmosphere and outdoor seating, serving French dishes and homemade desserts.
- Chez Germaine: escargots, duck confit and other classics in a picturesque bistro adorned with a colourful mural.
- Focaccia Club – Sèvres: as the name suggests, a friendly spot where the focaccias are homemade in an Italian-style setting!
- Gemini, another Italian restaurant where you’ll find a lovely little spot with excellent service and vegetarian options available.
