Around

The 6th arrondissement is famous for its emblematic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. Although the legendary jazz clubs of the 50s are now a rarity, and you're more likely to see tourists on the terrace of the Café de Flore than intellectuals, it has retained a pleasant atmosphere, between bohemian bourgeoisie and Parisian luxury.
It is one of the most emblematic - and one of the most expensive - districts of Paris.
The 6th arrondissement is home to several prestigious educational institutions, including the Sorbonne, Paris's renowned university.
It is also home to the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Eglise Saint- Sulpice, the Musée Delacroix and many of the historic cafés in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district that have been frequented by famous writers, philosophers and artists over the years.
