What should I do if the owner tells me to pay the deposit before the booking starts?

The deposit should normally not be requested prior to arrival in the accommodation.

Furthermore, this deposit should be paid by check. Remember that a demand for cash transfer is typically a fraud attempt. So be vigilant and immediately contact our staff if an owner asks you for one. For some accommodations, the payment of the deposit is managed by MorningCroissant and can be made by credit card via your MorningCroissant account at any time after the booking and before entering the premises.
