Why am I being asked to provide my ID in some cases ?

Sometimes people use stolen credit or debit cards to make online payments. To avoid this sort of fraud and ensure the safety of our users, MorningCroissant asks guests to provide proof of identity. This allows us to be sure that the card user is indeed the card owner.
Until we receive this proof of identity, the booking is kept on hold and the host cannot accept it. As soon as this verification has been completed, the host can safely accept your request.
